Overview

Nestled in the heart of Taman Melati Utama, Kuala Lumpur, Mr Dama Authentic Xinjiang Muslim Cuisine offers a genuine taste of Xinjiang’s vibrant culinary heritage. Specializing in Chinese Muslim noodle dishes, this modest yet welcoming eatery stands out for its meticulous approach to flavor and authenticity.

The core of Mr Dama’s appeal lies in its hand-pulled noodles and diverse menu that showcases the best of Xinjiang’s Muslim culture. Signature offerings like the Cumin Lamb Noodle and Roti Beef Chicken exemplify the brand’s commitment to traditional recipes paired with fresh, quality ingredients. Diners often praise the chewiness and springiness of the noodles, a hallmark of expertly crafted hand-pulled textures, while the broths remain balanced—rich but not overpowering. The Roti Chicken, with its perfect balance of savory flavors and a light finish, earns special mention for being both satisfying and less greasy than similar items elsewhere.

The menu also features a variety of grilled delights such as the Xinjianv Lamb BBQ and Grill Lamb Yellow Noodle, which bring forward the region’s robust flavors, particularly the aromatic cumin that permeates many of the dishes. Complementing these are classic appetizers like dumplings and scallion pancakes, offering a well-rounded experience. The inclusion of traditional Chinese flower tea and herbal tea further enriches the meal, giving diners a cultural touch beyond the main dishes.

Beyond the food, the environment at Mr Dama enhances the overall dining experience. Customers highlight its cleanliness and comfortable atmosphere, a refreshing contrast to more crowded or less ventilated eateries nearby. This makes it a great spot for those seeking a quiet, unhurried meal—ideal for office workers, students, or anyone who appreciates a calm space to savor authentic flavors without distractions.

The staff’s attentive nature complements the culinary excellence, creating a warm and inviting setting that feels both familiar and special. Whether you’re dipping into a hearty bowl of Mee Ramen Buatan Tangan or indulging in a plate of lamb skewers, the service matches the quality and authenticity of the food, inviting repeat visits.

Overall, Mr Dama Authentic Xinjiang Muslim Cuisine is a commendable destination for food lovers eager to explore halal, Chinese Muslim noodles and classic Xinjiang dishes in Kuala Lumpur. Its authentic preparation, balanced flavors, and welcoming ambiance position it as a favored culinary gem that promises not just a meal, but a genuine cultural journey.

First time being here . Ordered Naan , scallion pancake , sesame paste noodle and Roti chicken . Scallion pancake and naan taste normal but what I love is all the food not that oily and greasy . Scallion pancake only rm2 such a good deal for snacks . Naan ( rm5)is not bad too . Very generous of the amount of sesame on top of the naan . Sesame paste noodle ( rm8.9 ) The noodle is so good . Very chewable really love it . The portion is very big can be sharing . Definitely will come back for this ! Roti chicken ( rm5) This roti chicken is way better than all other famous roti chicken . Very delicious and not greasy at all ! Good to go with their chili and vinegar as well . The place is clean . Service is good . definitely Worth to come !

If you’re looking for authentic and delicious Chinese Muslim noodles, this restaurant is a must-visit! The flavors are spot on, reminding me of traditional hand-pulled noodles you’d find in China. The texture of the noodles is perfect—chewy and fresh—and the broth is incredibly flavorful without being overly salty. The portions are generous, and there’s a variety of dishes to suit different tastes, from spicy beef noodles to lighter, refreshing options. The staff are friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. I highly recommend the signature noodle dish; the seasoning and toppings are just right. This place has quickly become my go-to for halal Chinese food. Can’t wait to come back!

I had iftar Ramadan with my son here today. We got crispy beef and chicken roti, and I think they'd be even better with curry gravy. The lamb chop rice was just okay, a bit plain for my taste. The lamb BBQ and fried dumplings were really good, the insides were nice and juicy. The spicy beef yellow noodles were my favorite, even though they were a little spicy. Overall, the food and service were great. We spent RM 82.90.

BBQ Lamb Stick are marvellous. So does the Noodle with Lamb. Beef roti is crispy and to my liking as well. As suggestion to owner, pilaf carrot rice perhaps can do another option with lamb as well like the ones originally sold in Xin Jiang.
